Surrendering an animal can be one of the most difficult and heartbreaking decisions you'll ever have to make.
Our team of trustees and volunteers have partly been chosen due to their kind, compassionate, and non-judgmental nature. We try our very best to be understanding and accommodate peoples changes in circumstances.
Please remember, we're here to help you as well as your animal(s). We will do whatever we can to make the process as easy as possible for you and your animal(s).
There is no surrendering fee, but donations are appreciated.
Please note, we are currently unable to accept rabbit surrenders (unless in extreme circumstances, or offering rescue space back up) for the foreseeable due to our facilities being occupied by sanctuary rabbits. Please visit Babba Campaign for a list of ethical rabbit rescues. We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause.
What to Expect About the Process:
We will need to gather some details about the animals you need to surrender, and the reason for surrendering. Please fill in the questionnaire at the bottom of this page.
This helps us to better understand the situation and, in times of high demand, will help us in categorizing which animal and circumstances need to be prioritized.
If you need urgent help, please tell us why and we will do our upmost best to try and help you.
Feel free to ask us as many questions as you wish, we will answer all questions truthfully.
We do insist that you sign a contract which dissolves your rights over the animal(s) and signs them over to us - making them entirely our responsibility.
If for some reason we're unable to take your animal(s), we will try to refer you to other rescues that may be able to help.
In some cases, we can temporarily take your animals on before transferring them, but this will have to be discussed and suitable for all parties before this can be arranged.
If you have any further questions, do not hesitate to contact us.
